Postby yellowperil » Tue Dec 20, 2005 2:25 am

I thought all my christmas,s had come at once today.I was informed off a local car breaker today about a mk1 he couldnt get his truck near(to tow it away) 500yds away from my house. So ive been round to talk to the owner.I had full intentions in breakin it up due to probably being rotten.(SPARES) But alas it is way too good to scrap chasis rails are mint very minor inner sill repairs req .47000mls stearing wheel floor mat and pedals like new AND its had a low miles unleaded pinto fitted with twin weber 4branch manifold with short front (metro rad i think with a panda one).Im going round tomoro to get it runnin and check it out some more.I can av it for a song but ive no room for it.Such is life!Any ideas anyone! :?:

OK mate, let me know when you do, and is it a van or a minibus? I am looking for a minibus for a reconstruction set in 1976. Not even I am cheeky enough to pass off a Mk2 phase2 as a P reg..........

NO me mam,s easy to coax into life and FIRE UP just told her I was puttin a 30 yr old transit on her drive and she revved up beautifully!
Wish that tranny would start as well! Seems to have lost its spark.
If theres enough interest I might break it as the back body isnt as good as the van would make a great pickup though

got it running miday engine is spot on silent running! Not even a puff of smoke when she fired. Lot smoother than a v4. Anyone want a fresh rebult 2.0 v4?

No Fred I didnt explain properly I meant selling the unleaded fully rebuilt V4 out of the peril. I drove my new un round to me mams on the 23rd and it goes like a bomb! Soon as I find someone to swap me engine I ll have a decent chassis cab to get rid off for next to nowt or lots of very cheap low mls bits all original!
