transit mk6 on veg oil - tv program

dont know if anyone caught the program Quentin Wilson was hosting a week or so ago, but the guy was running a mk6 on veg oil and used chip pan fat. all he put in was a £3 filter and it ran fine. i thought mk6 werent quite up to the job of running on veg oil? :?

my brother runs the Defender on straight veg oil the majortiy of the time, topping up with diesel everynow and then, thats what he was told to do on a land rover forum, the diesel just keeps the system sweet, and its worked fine so far.

however thats an N reg land rover opposed to an X(2000) transit. so not sure myself. i know there is thousands of topics on this matter but ive still never come to an answer. some people say its fine with a bosch pump others say you need a kit.

i just started thinking about it again since he done it on telly. telly never lies
