hello can i have a square white front number plate for my van and is it legal ie a motor bike one or something

but a standed back number plate is for the rear tho

There is nothing to stop you having a square plate as long as it is of the legal size and correct lettering

...we'd know by now as all the rear plates would be a strange orange tint of yellow

..and to back him up to a degree (what are fiends for - and that is not a spelling error), motorcycles did have front plates, curved to fit atop the front mudguard in the 60's I believe, perhaps some historic motorbike buff can fill us in with the dates.
