Does any one disconnect there egr valve?

The exaust gas recerculation valve? mine done 17 to the gallon. dicconected it and now doing 30. also ever noticed when ever you give it full throttle all the black smoke getting kicked out. the egr valve causes that

EGR valve? What's that now? 
Sorry couldn't resist, the Mk2 doesn't have one. Blocking off/open is a common mod, have a look at the tech section.

on our 2000 with the bannana manifold we got it il take a pic later and show you
