Transits in film/TV

dunno if this topic has already been covered...
what programmes or films have you seen that feature transits?

I'll kick off with "twin town", (1995) film set in swansea-the roofer's works van is a battered LWB mk2 which also sees some back seat action..

an obvious TV show is of course the sweeny, where ALL the blaggers without exception used transits

I watched 24 hour party people the other day - there was a mk1 fur lined transit that peter kay and steve coogan were being "entertained" in the back of with a couple of ladies of the night

i noticed it had a sticker in the back window - i think it was the one celebrating the 30 years of the transit - about 15 years too early!!

well what about the film poridge, had 2 transits in it, ci travelhome P reg mk1 with a very sweet v4,(had to turn the telly up!) and a P reg swb minibus with the kent engine in it! wow !

yes! I remember that one now- must admit I forgot how nice a V4 transit sounded.its that long since Ive seen one. I seem to remember fletcher peed in the fuel tank of the prison van once too

I think this might be the one as it's the only one that I can't find any pictures from but thias film was from 2003.

Infamous TV host Colin Malone (Colin After Dark) stars as Rusty Guzner, a serial killer who possesses a van with his demonic soul. Three horror stories trace the van's bizarre journey from Rusty's capture and death to it's new owners: Reed (Jason Altman), obsessed with getting his girlfriend back at any cost and Paul (Nick Daley), a handicapped dishwasher willing to run over anyone who gets in the way of his van. The bodies pile up as the new owners discover they're riding shotgun with evil. Three stories. Two owners. One demonic van. Take the ride!

I thought it was the one set in Ireland, they turn a scrapper parcel van into a snack waggon.

interesting, often supected some of ours as being posessed, not to mention the Mk1 we had that tried to squash a mechanic.......

I'm at work Luke. The film that Fred was talking about from 97 could also be it of course and here's the plot from that film!

There are 3 films called the van. The Van (1996), The Van (1977) and The Van (2003). So we've now covered 2 of them, the 3rd from 1977 looks like an american van so I doubt it's that one!

How small is the world then? I saw a copy of the american film at Peter's the other day! It stars Danny De Vito.
