What do you use your van for?

With so many people on the forum i was just wondering what you use your trannsit for?
I use mine for private use instesd of running around in a car, wife use's
the car as she doesn't share the passion

I bought mine for mountain biking trips. I'd driven a Courier for a few years before and that was great for the bike, I missed having a van for all the times friends need somehting moving.
The Transit is just perfect. Six people, six bikes and all the luggage transported in comfort and safety.

i use mine for the love of the transit! the mk1 to take to shows and events, the mk5 for useing to get bits and bobs for the mk1 and other transit spares ,and the odd trip to work ,also use the mk5 when not useing the mk1 for towing the caravan!

I origanally got my mk1 for towing my autograss car, then i got the pickup with the intention of converting it to a flat back for the same job, that was 5 years ago
We used the van for all sorts of stuff, not just towing the grastrack car, not many cars can take 6 people and 6 mountain bikes in comfort she got used by all my family too for shifting junk etc. and got a bit worse for wear so when i found out we were having sophie (theres allready 6 of us) i realised we were gonna need a nice family car so it was either buy a people carrier or renovate the old mk1 - no choice really! just its taken longer than i first thought!! and a fair bit more cash but when she's done her rubish shifting days will be over!!

Work primarily, but shes had a mattress in the back on several occasions, for weddings and parties in the summer time, even went up to the highlands in her a few years ago where we put a portable air-con unit in and used her as a fridge for all the beer/wine etc. at another wedding

Nice one, John! We use ours for work, play and more work!! Been vannin since the early eighties, work is light haulage and prop vehicle work in front of the camera.

We use ours for travelling - with or without a 19ft Hobby caravan on the back, doing voluntary work, worm farming activities, day to day running around & going to gigs overnight.

Mines used daily for business use and as family transport , with there being five of us its also great for going on holiday , just fold the back row of seats down and not have to worry about what you can and cant take with you

Social use only, love the fact that I can't go to quickly and journies are much more relaxing as a result. Great for skiing trips, not need for expensive roof bars or boxes and loads of room for the gear/clothes/beer/wine/food, and when you have been skiing just throw the skis/boots in the back and relax with lots of space en-route back to the cabin.
