i would be looking at a swb Diesel nothing big just a cheap run around fixer uper :D would use it as a car not a work Vehicle

i have herd that some times its cheaper to insure a mini bus then just take the seats out and use it as a van :? i really dont no

i only have 2 years no clames and just turned 23 so insurance is still silly prices

My insurance isn't cheap but the Mk2 3litre minibus I had was insured with Norwich Union for £200 a year and i'm 25 with 3 years NCB.

More 120s on the road so more people crashing them? :?
I've already paid the year up front on mine but you can bet I'm not paying £675 again next year.

very true but i can do a lot more damage with a 100ps hicube

so far in my short driving carreer i have had 3 accidents and every accident the other car was a write off and have killed 2 deer and the van has come off lightly 1 front wing, 1 side panel is all that is busted on my van

( none of the accidents were my fault 2 happened at the same place i was cut up in all 3 :x tho the 2 deer were my fault(speeding) )

I'd recommend Commercial Vehicle Direct - you can haggle with them & though whether we use it as a commercial or not is debatable, they kind of steered me through the questions & charged me £220 TP for a 94 LWB high top 2.5Di.

It is never cheaper to insure a minibus. I know, I paid out a fortune until I found out that if your vehicle has no more than 8 passenger seats then you can insure it as a private vehicle. I got mine through the Co-operative Insurance (http://www.cis.co.uk). They have an on-line quoting system. Give it a go (I paid £134 fully comp for a 1995 Torneo - I do have 5 years + NCB though).

It must be where I live! :(
I just tried CIS online and without telling them it had been modified with extra seats and windows, with 3 years no claims they quoted me £602.29.
Needless to say they didn't quote me happy!  :?

Depends on age, location, age, age of vehicle, and whether the quoter got legover that morning. There's no sense to insurance at all.
For my twopennorth, Wilsons Commercial. I had a swb, g plate at £186 tpft, just changed to R plate swb semi high, at £230. They appear tobe sensible people, and helpful too.
Hope this helps

The number is the load capacity. Still cheaper than any quotes i've had for my 2.5Di 80.
