hi how much is a mk5 complete worth as scrap value, i know it varies depending on the area, im in kent/london area,cheers

my mate weighed a granny estate in and only got £38 scrap has gone down a hell of a lot ,
3 months ago it was £165 a ton

wow i cant believe scrap cars had gone down that much,is it coz of the global economic credit crunch?

no its because china has stopped its factorys for a while due to the olympic games(i think) it made the air cleaner..scrap will proberbly go back up again in the new year when the factorys go online again

take a pic of the tranny would help then put the pic with add in transit for sale bit on the forum or parts section if its spares only..u will be surprised how many people will pm you about it..

i took 1.6tonne of heavy in last week £38 for it, only just paid for the diesel to get there :oops:

yeah know what u mean guy..I took a car in today and it only paid for the diesel and a burger..a few weeks ago I was raking it in..i will just leave the scrap piled high till the price go back up again...Thing is people say how much will u give me for my old car and when u say nothing i should be charging you they then say but scrap metal is high!
