Anyone got mintex brake discs and pads fitted to their tranny? If so, any good?

I have a set in my shed waiting until they are needed

Mintex is generally regarded as being one of the best aftermarket manufacturer of brake friction. There are other good ones too though :)

Go to your local factors and ask them how much they charge for a set of dsics/pads and decide for yourself!

mate all i can say is mintex is the BOMB!! 8) 8)
you get different types though. i got a mid range (forgot the proper name  ) fitted to my van right mk6 lwb h/t now, vented disc. and mintex pads all round. kwik fit wanted £270.00 all in for front disc front pads and rear shoes supplied and fitted. i bought the front pads and disc from ebay and the shoes from another place got my loacal garge to fit them. £170.00 all in. o yer that was with 2 new brake cyclinders. and apperantly the mk6 disc and shoes are harder to change then the mk5 so thats why the labour costs are slightly high.

i have got 4x new continental tyres on the van right now brakes are about 3000miles old and i have to say i havent driven any other van with brakes as good as this. :D need it in the wet weather.
