MOT Day

Postby daddy cool » Thu Mar 16, 2006 6:51 pm

Had to get the dreaded MOT today. Very similar to getting a tattoo (for me anyway). Half way through and you just wish it was all over :|
Anyway sailed through (only 4 years old so it'd better  ) but the tester had a go about the mud. Washed the outside, but the chassis, suspension and everything else was covered (damn motox fields!). Luckily he cleaned it up a bit although he said he could have refused to test it :(

Anyway, the guy in the office filling out the paperwork refused to believe what engine was in it. Told him 2.0 td, he said they don't make one, it's either 2.4 or 2.5 and if it was 2.0 then it would have had to have been petrol! :? (Living in the past I think)
Back street garages  Should have told him to go on the Ford van configurator on their website but I thought I'd just leave him ignorant
Even if you don't need it, grab it.
The minute you do need it, it'll be gone.

do you do class 7's???
You only need two tools in life: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

Oh right now I understand :)

Handy having a garage and an MoT station. Shame you're in Scotland!
At least you would know what engines are in Transits

yeah very handy with the garage
although i would`nt just pass my van for the sake of it,not worth losing the station just for one van.

That's all our class 7 station charges us, the £49 fee is the maximum.
