Postby Terry » Tue Mar 28, 2006 12:04 pm

Don't know if anyone is interested in models of Transits
but a magazine Die Cast Collector has a 2 page article
on White Van Man/Transits in the May issue (out now tho)

Model Transits

Postby Terry » Tue Mar 28, 2006 9:01 pm

No its not model (as in Mk1, Mk2 etc. specific), mainly about
the advent of 'white van man' & the Transit being 40 years old.

But November '05 and December '05 issues both had 40 years of
Transit articles. (what you call a mk 2 ..they call a 'facelift' mk1)
and there are not many models of them. (see chart below).

If you P.M. me with your address I will send on photocopies of the articles.

Models

Postby Terry » Tue Mar 28, 2006 9:38 pm

Hi Fred
Sorry your response arrived while I was 'doing' the reply to Sleepy.
I knew someone on here was 'model' mad, so as you have supplied the answer I will forward the magazines to Peter (if he P.M.s me his addy)
I subscribe to the die cast magazine for (non Transit) model info.
The wife won't let me collect 'MORE' models other than Studebakers.
John
Personally I wouldn't buy the magazine for that article alone but if you p.m. me I will photocopy it & post to you and you can judge for
yourself

Postby Terry » Tue Mar 28, 2006 10:08 pm

Sleepy
Sorry got stuck on the phone with one of the wife's voluable friends.
The models marked facelift are what you and I call Mk2 and there doesn't appear to be any panel vans (see the chart).

Looks like the only Mk2 they have is supervan 2. Sleepy, try Peter if you are looking for a model Mk2.
