On the way back down the M40 at about 12.00 I passed a blue MK2 luton going north, one of yours Fred?
One the way back I called in to visit some friends in Milton Keynes. Going across country I reached the roundabout at the end of the A422 at Buckingham just as an R reg MK5 ex RAC van was going the other way. Mark was that you?
Then later I was going down the M1 at about 3.00 when I was passed by a maroon Touneo with a yellow stripe down the side, surely only one of those vans! I put a spurt on to catch up but just then a police range rover pulled onto the motorway and I decided to err on the side of caution!

Rather than have the logo, which could be expensive to produce, (and would be difficult to spot on Fred's blue vans...) how about a simple 'spot'

This is a magnetic square with orange reflective tape stuck on (the colour's not good in the photos) I usually have this stuck to the front of the offside galvanised steel grey mudguard on my car transporter trailer so that oncoming idiots can spot it and avoid it!

Being magnetic you can stick it in a prominent place on your van, or two, one front one rear, which would distinguish you as a forum member from all the other vans on the road. (a bit like the hollow plastic fish emblem on the back of many cars. Subtle but distinctive)

We could aeven start a new game of sticking it on other vehicles so we could have a "spot the transit driver out of his transit" craze!

I can make these up for a couple of quid or so a piece (I'll have to check) and would be happy to run some off and post them off if my costs were covered.

I've got loads of that mag plasitc, a huge roll I keep for fake sinage. In the magnetic side, whenever I spot a dumped fridge on the street I take the mag seal off it, just slash open the rubber with a stanley knife. Use it to make fridge magnets and anything else magnetic. Just one thing, the luton bodies are all ally, so magnetic doesn't work.

You could stick yours on the bonnet Fred. I'm sure everyone would look more closely at a Mk 11 and spot it anyway!

Good idea on the sticker but what about doing one in the shape of the Ford 'oval' at least then it can be in any colour I've see a few vans with square indicators on.

I will be travelling all over the UK in the summer mainly over the weekends it would be good to see a few out on the road!

Why not do as i have done , buy some of the bumper stickers from our merchandise at Cafepress , if you dont want to put the whole sticker on then cut the logo out which is the option i took , i have one on the back door and one each side on the front 1/4 windows on the doors , looks alot nicer than a big orange square , circle , triangle etc .........

what about a sunstrip with the forum logo ? :? there are a few companies out there that will make them for £10 or could always get a larger sticker to put on the bonnet etc? maybe even magnetic :?
