i just thought i would let people know a friend of mine was sat in a car park outside a well known diy store middle of the day, he sat in his camper and a fairly new transit pulled up and parked near him.the driver got out and locked van (central locking)walked into shop,30 seconds later 2 shifties pulled up in a sherpa (yuch)got out walked over to transit one fiddled at the front wheel then walked to the back of transit ,while a hissing sound came from front wheel, slid the same hacksaw blade up the gap by the back door, quick wiggle all the central locking popped in they went and robbed all the poor guys tools ,this was told to me by the bloke who watched it happen,he did phone the old bill but they didnt turn up for an hour, ithink they cut the loom going across theback door and it just shorts the locking. :?

very common way in - there is a steel guard on sale from ford (and other places) to protect the loom (got one on mine) there is also a wiring mod but the guard does the job on it's own

You only need two tools in life: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

you can buy a piece off ebay that stops this happening but it would be very easy to make one :!:

if somebody has made or bought one - we could do a drawing on the forum so it can be copied easly!!! :D
