windscreen fitting help

not a happy bunny yes2day so i now need a new windscreen fitting in the transit

i have a 2nd hand winscreen i think if i can get it off a mate but were its bonded i dont no were to get the stuff from dose any one no how to fit it and get the stuff from or were dose it if you serply the screen

i am in fareham (near southampton)

to top it all off the cambelt kit i got was the wrong one so it never got changed in the end only good thing is the water pump dont leak now

any help info on the screen would be grate

:? mate to be honest i would wait and get a new screen ,if you find somebody that will doo cash it will be about £60-£80 ,its not worth all the agro in trying yourself! or you could get a windowscreen fitter to fit the seconhand one for you! :wink:

Can't your insurance cover it so that you only pay £50ish :?:

Then get the fitter to stick in a "top tint" 8) 8) 8)

i had a new screen supplied and fitter for £95
2005 Ford F250 Super Duty

yeah i fitted my own screen - theres a thread about it on here somewhere!! and it is a pain of a job :(

just depends how tight you are :lol: i'd do it again! :wink: :oops: :lol:

little update

i got a screen for free (free stuff the only purks of taxing ur mates about)
might have a friend of a frind that fits screens for a living fitting it for me hoping this all goes to plan, but noing my luck at the moment it will be the wrong screen :lol: (dont worry it shouldn't be)

i am broke and will be for ages bought a new drift toy, got g/f's driving lessons and test to pay for. but the money i had saved for that, went on the drift toy. :roll: so if i can get it done for beer tokens i'm going to try my hardest :D good to see some prices tho thanks guys gives me a idea of what i'm looking at if it goes tits up

You only need two tools in life: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

:D that didnt work out :(

looks like the screen to be fitted is going to cost me £35

now the brakes are playing up if stuff carrys on going wrong i'm going to jog tje van on as its not paying for its self if it keeps dieing :twisted:
