let this be a warning to anyone with a current shape transit :( on sunday eve i had to travel to northampton for a night take down job on a marquee :( being sunday eve i was a little tired bit hot not really looking forward to the job anyway plodded on doing the usual stop at winchester services to get fuel, thought id be good and check my levels :) she needed a spot of oil so i shut my bonnet went in and got some free oil with the companies fuel card bonus free fuel and oil :D when suddenly that great feeling sank turning to anger :x yep when checking the oil id put my keys on the slam panel wot a dumbass as you know you can only open the bonnet with the keys    so guys and gals i know its common sense but keep your keys in your pocket after youve opened it and also take them out so they dont get nicked  i managed to hook them out after half an hour of cursing ,i took a wiper blade off stripped it down giving me a thin metal strip to go fishing !!!! and i used a wooden wedge for my ladders to force enuff clearance on the bonnet :? i was lucky in the fact i dont keep my house keys on them as not liking a big bunch o keys while working!!!! so wot a dumbass eh :D :D :D :D

It's why we took off the door buttons, but I once locked myself out of Alex by the side door!

Ive got one of those alarms that auto locks all the doors 10 seconds after starting the van. started the van one day then jumped straight back out to do something......clunk, doors all locked  engine still running.......bo**#**ks :D My windscreen had a big crack in it so thought id break in through that as it needed a new one anyway.......jesus christ, didnt realise windscreens were that tough  lesson learnt

i tried that ,but i snapped the ignition key in the barrel when i forgot to take it out before getting out of the van
ive now got remote central locking and my ignition key unclips from the rest of the keys so if i lock the doors with the keys in the van i still have the door key on my belt

make sure its a third key as my mates insurance company refused to pay out on the grounds that he only had one set of keys
(they suspected it was a fraudulent claim and he had given the spare keys to someone to take the car :!:)
