i think the main reason most people are pissed off with you (having spoke to a fair few forum members about it) is that you are buying up panels off ebay to in effect control the limited UK supply, and as you know all early transit panels are VERY rare and you can then name your price - Not good for enthisiasts looking to keep an old van on the road! :(

As you have previously mentioned getting certain panels remanufactured can only be good for everyone - now you have admitted your intentions why dont you put your money into that rather than buying up the ebay stock :?:

and also why dont you look into importing panels - as we all know there are plenty of rust free mk1 transits in germany and australia where they dont have the panel shortage we do :?:

Then people may look at you in a different light

on my pitch i will have remanufactured mk1 front crossmembers - rear light arms -- vin plates -- i am also looking into the possibilty of other items.I would import stuff if i could find it i am not that computer literate yet to work how to find it,only had one for 5 months.I dont think i could ever corner the market luke, ebay is not the be all and end all for spares,as i said before i am a property developer with my 2 sons first and formost.

the thing is the internet and ebay for all its faults has brought a lot of spares to the masses and its also a fair system :!: i tried for ages to get a side door i'd given up and started welded/filled/repaired my existing door and one turned up on ebay - it was exactly what i wanted and paid what it fetched - i would have been annoyed if someone who didnt need it was bidding me up just to hold it and sell it on at an increased rate :!: - can you see where people are coming from :?:

yes i can see where your coming from -- i think you find my prices are no dearer than what some items fetch on auction if not cheaper for instance the heavy duty steering boxes i had mine £80 on ebay £175.I have a list of wants from old and new customers who ask me to source items for them if i dont have it already it works both ways

but the items you buy off ebay you will have to sell for more :!: and the cost of postage will have to be taken into account aswell :!:

I think it also had something to do with the lying about being a trader and also slagging off everyone on the forum about how tight we are!
