so is there any info on it anywhere? that picture could just as easily be a 2.5di running on 3 going up the hill :o

If you look at the first photo of it, it looks like the dreaded diesel wet patch under the filler?? spose it could be petrol tho?

right guys been workin my ass off so not been on here lately.

yes that is the van in question i was checkin it out on the thurs before the event and tryin to work out wot it was. when i asked the driver he said "its a transit mate" and wouldnt say any more. after he left i had a good nose around and it is indeed a mk 3 with a jag xj220 lump and running gear.
It was driven by a guy named Justin Law. its best time on sat was 63.15 secs up the hill. faster then many other cars including the formula bmw race car driven by Leo Mansell (nigels son) It was definately a serious piece of kit and i for one will be tracking its progress closely

A few more pictures for you, was talking to someone at the weekend that said he looked inside and there was no floor whats so ever in the back and the cab was like a proper builders van!
