as of 1st January 2004 the government has rewritten the law to incorporate a tint level of seventy percent visible light transmission on the front driver and passenger side windows.

The legal position is that the front side windows on all cars must allow 70% of light to pass through them, so I reackon you'll get away with a light smoke.

I had a mini Years Ago and i tinted the side windows front and back with a light smoke film and at night when at junctions i would have to open the windows to see, as it was near impossible to see anything...

That's a good idea  :!: :D
Saves wasting money on a unit that doesn't have a vehicle in it

And that way, if you had to, can postpone any appointments if the weather is bad, cause you'd have the space in your diary until you've got the business into full swing

Postby DJMIKE » Thu Oct 19, 2006 10:02 am

good idea mate. i have had 3 transits up to now. i have tinted them all, and some of my mate's car's as well. apart from the front windscrean. i have dark smoke on my side windows to keep the theves on bike's from looking in. and it works. if they carn't see it, they carn't worry about it. if a window get's broken, it stays in place insted of all the glass going all over.
