No, but I've read at least two on here that have :!: And both stumbled over the heater :!: :(

ive been considering this for ages, you would definatly need the heater box and pipes etc out of the mk5 also

i believe the dash bolts straight up its just the heaters etc that are a coont

I'll try and find the threads :!: :idea:

The MK4 heater was not compatible with the MK5 dashboard and the MK5 heater wouldn't phisically fit in place of the MK4 one :(

ive done it a few times years ago and the heater is the problem, you can make it fit but will need a welder to do a good job :D

its just how much work is needed to fit up the heater box if its a few dabs of weld with a self made bracket then ill be attempting it



i also believe that other people that fit the mk5 clocks into the mk4/3 have issues with guages working incorrectly etc?


if this is the case is it really worth all the effort?


i appreciate smiley interior is much more pleasing to the eye

what about door cards? the door handles are in diff places arent they?

Youve only gotta look at the dashes to see they wont be compatible.

guy 88 has one fitted in his van the heaters work too but think he said the hot and cold etc is the wrong way round
