Mk5 SWB Minibus Progress (The Vengabus)

Postby silky13 » Tue Jun 03, 2014 12:59 pm

Hi all! now I've actually had the time to service it and familiarise myself with it I thought I'd get some pics, introduce myself and start a progress thread! It was originally bought as a band Van, but now I'm no longer in the band its more than likely gonna become my play toy, and become some kind of camper-esque van! Looking forward to getting stuck into it and update progress! Definitely gonna need plenty of help of you knowledgable guys (probably with learning a new skill ... WELDING!!)

The van is affectionately referred to by everyone as the Vengabus... for some reason or another!

Anyway, here are some pics!

The day I got it:

Progressing through the service:

Before and after on the air filter... might have been a while since it was changed last!

After service and clean up weekend just past:

Volt meter added to check battery is ok, before starting it.
