Heres a pic of my 1976 Transit twin wheel pick up( Sorry about the quality.......Its an old pic!). I bought it from a mate as a 2 litre V4, Fitted a 3 litre V6 Essex engine, Custom made twin stack exhausts( Made from cortina downpipes,Silencers, Red bullet boxes, flexible pipes and chrome swept over tail pieces). It spitted out 3 ft flames when you let the gas off!, Custom made lower front end( After a prang!), Fitted ambulance diff. Dodge Charger drivers seat, Twin bus seat for passengers.( Had to remove it for MOT as you couldn't reach the handbreak lever!), Clocks from Triumph 2000S. Painted in fire engine red!
I used it to carry/tow my stock cars/bangers in the 80's. Gearing was ideal for towing, But not for everyday use.....It used to do 0-60 quicker than my 2.8 Granada and would spin the wheels for fun!
Petrol consumption was only about 10 MPG!!!
