I spent six weeks of my life saving this thing from the crusher, usual masses of welding then half a day with a paintbrush. How do you like the 'Zephyr' style way of painting the grille? It looks awkward if you only do the side grooves then leave a gap so I carried the colour across to join up. It'll never be a lovely van but was an early one & solid enough to save. It changed hands on ebay recently for about £700 !
Best thing about this one was if you brake suddenly about 20 gallons of grimy rainwater flies forward from the saggy fibreglass roof. Serves the f***ers right for using a Zebra crossing... :twisted:

I remember this for sale years ago in classic van and pick up mag, I wanted to buy it but the(then!) wife said NO
