Wind noies

Postby Terry » Fri Sep 22, 2006 9:14 pm

Dunno, I got them this morning & haven't used the van today, used the car (which also had a pair fitted today) but it was raining too hard to have the windows open anyway.Had to go to Canary Wharf and the traffic was NOT fast moving :?

Anti elephant pills

Postby Terry » Tue Sep 26, 2006 8:03 pm

Well used the van today, but still dunno if the 'wind deflecters' are any good, cant remember how bad the wind 'intrusion' was before, so they are a bit like anti-elephant pills. I guess there is less buffeting when the window is fully open, but could be wishfull thinking :D
Also as you can read elsewhere, ordered a Bluefin today, I am collecting (trailering) a car from Preston tomorrow so won't get it fitted / programmed ? till Thursday. Probably won't need the van again till next week, can use the car for Friday & Saturdays run to Sunderland & back !

Bluefin

Postby Terry » Wed Sep 27, 2006 7:50 pm

After a bit of faffing around got the Bluefin in and working this afternoon.
Couldn't give a flat out test on the way home- too much traffic, but the acceleration is much improved the low speed pick-up is also vastly better and the throttle pedal seems more sensitive (but that may be wishfull thinking, after all its only a few switches !) Definitely a vast improvement but expensive .....(maybe thats me being tight fisted), hopefully once I get back to 'normal' driving the improved fuel consumption will show.

Brum

Postby Terry » Wed Oct 04, 2006 10:44 pm

Went to Brum, the NEC, the slow way (past a tanker that had shunted !), Left with the intention of a steady run down the M40, finished as a sprint down the A41 thru Aylesbury e.t.c but gave the Bluefin a bit of a raggin , and am impressed. Acceleration from the 60/70 mark the cars used to leave me now I stay with them ! :) , top speed appears unchanged at about 95, but gets there (apparently) a lot quicker, pull from low speed/high gear was good, but now is impressive !, All in all well pleased
lotta money..... but its only money

I just looked at the top of these two pics, and read the bit about wires, before looking at the bottom picture. I thought "bloody hell, he's even got an electric shithouse in his van!"

Nice van, I can't get most of the pictures, just a picture of a skinny bird with some scribble on her shoulder and a dog wearing a pink scarf.

Skinny Bird

Postby Terry » Tue Apr 17, 2007 6:55 pm

Lucky you.............. getting a skinny bird. When I right click & click show picture I get a square with a red x in it :).. again
I think as the posts get past a certain age/time the pictures get archived/ binned to preserve 'band width' ?, but I am no computer whiz.

No, it's because they have been deleted from photobucket by who ever posted them. None of the pictures here are hosted by this site.
