Transit No.3!

Postby fastmower » Fri Dec 28, 2007 4:01 pm

Here's a few pics of the new family member - who as you can see is in need of a wash! Looked ever so nice when I picked her up, but it's been lousy weather ever since.

The kids (6 and 3) think it's the best thing since sliced bread - and it's not "the car" - it's definitely "The Tourneo" - they're even pointing out to their mates that "we've got a Tourneo" Bless 'em.

Cheers for now,

Andy

Too right mate! Think it's probably another point in its favour that the kids like it so much to be honest. I was wondering if I'd ever manage to talk Jo into having one though - I'd tried getting Tom to "go and tell mummy you think she should get a Tourneo" - but it kept coming out as "Daddy thinks you should get a Tourneo"

Anyway now it's here she seems to have quite taken to it - though I do need to try and do something about the noise I think. If it's making the old County sound like a luxury limo it MUST be loud inside!

Cheers,

Andy

Funnily enough I did have a look at that the other day - and it's not "sealed" round the bottom like on the County. Might have a look at sorting that tomorrow - though to be honest, it didn't "look" like enough to make such a difference. Having said that, one of the guys on the Hilux forum said he'd replaced a seal where the steering column went through the bulkhead on his pickup - only a little thing about two inches across - and said it improved things 100% - so could be worth a try!

Cheers mate!
