My race vehicle

Postby 2Smoke » Sat Apr 08, 2006 6:39 pm

My race vehicle and daily transport (once I get it mot'd again). Got this van off a mate, I'm the 3rd owner, last guy who had it as a race vehicle bought it off the council. Runs well, no smoke, have removed a lot of stickers and a bit of paint subsequently!! Been sorting all the rust areas over winted and will spray it once the weather gets better! 6 seats, fitted a window in the sliding door which helps at juctions and makes the inside a lot brighter, partitioned and carpeted, usually sleep in the back at race weekends, has an awning rail on the other side as a garage for the bikes. Few more jobs to do, fit a plastic roof window for the back, more awning rails so i can fit the bigger awning on the passenger side. Looks a tip at the moment, had a race last weekend and not had the time to clean out since!

Do a bit myself on an old Triumph Thunderbird outfit.

Ahhhh memory's.. I learnt to wheelie, stoppie and wore out my first set of knee sliders on an RGV !! It was a 94 one and i loved it !!!

Would've loved a TZ250 with lights, but had to settle for a 71bhp Twistgrip tuned KR1S with TZ pistons instead :-) that was nicked from me in the end to supply Chris Walker with cheap parts so the copper reckoned!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm well jealous

Hmmm . .way to modern for me :) . . if it dont leak oil it aint a bike  japanese bikes are reliable, fast, economical, cheap and totally lacking in character   cant say too much though as I have a 600 Diversion as an alternative method of getting about  .

hmm.. nah! it would be fun for sure but these things do not do anything until you have 8k on the rev counter, and I mean nothing by bogging down and stalling.. real buggers to ride right. plus you'd have to carry a battery, can of avgas and a set of clutch plates on every rideout! :D
