My Heap

Postby MarkM » Tue Aug 29, 2006 5:17 pm

I have posted the odd picture of the inside of the engine and other bits but about time for an outside shot, especially since I have been adding a few bits.
Big thanks to madvanman and thats non transit driver ;) spaceman? for creating the bracket risers for the spots and the coffee. Madvanman did take a picture as we worked out that the spots I have although from an RAC van, they (The RAC) cut the bumper to make them fit so some riser brackets were made up to take care of this...no way was I cutting the bumper more so since I just replaced it! I have yet to wire them up although the earth's are attached as I didn't have enough cable connectors to do it yesterday, I do now but it was raining all afternoon so perhaps tomorrow.
The clear indicators turned up today (including the bulbs!) which was good as my O/S one was split and cracked so the perfect exuse to go clear, I will swap the bulbs later on for the silvered ones but not right away, just got to find side repeaters at the right price.
The surround for the plate is from Lidls...I did link to it when they were able to be bought but currently you can't get them...maybe they will repeat them next year, they were under a tenner and most aftermarket ones are £15 upwards.

You only need two tools in life: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

Ok give me a ring a DAY before, so we can arrange it.

Oh and instead of an edit...Thanks to Cam for the grille ;)
I hope my old bumper has been all cut up now. I got the new brackets for the edges, £4.50 each!!! An absolutely crazy price for what they are.
