definatley not alowed but who cares plod had a moan about my led lightbar on top jeep its clear casing on top white jeep made them suspicous! leds are orange so tough titty!

Well we aren't using the light on the road so who cares, We will have to take it off after the classic commercial anyway, because as Luke said it won't go in the garage now We did look into it and your allowed to have it as long as we don't use it - otherwise how would all of these preserved Fire engines get away with it

theres a recovery company up here that runs a few jeeps with full graphics like a traffic car and clear led light bar cant do sh*t to you as long as the light bar isnt blue its for safety having the graphics and the light bars just look

I've been loooking at mk5 ambulances, they have all the reflective stickers still on the side, and the blue lights in the grill and on top. It difficult to remove all the stickers without making a mess unless you respray. The lights are built into the bodywork so you'd have to paint over them if you had to remove blue lights and stuff. I am still thinking on an ex ambulance but would need to look further (and get written proof) of what is and isn't legal. If I could then I'd leave all the stickers on and the lights, with a switch which is operable when not in the drivers seat. therefore off road only sort of thing.
