My New Tranny

Postby jambobond » Sun Mar 26, 2006 7:11 pm

Hi All

Here are some pictures of my new van that I bought off MadMark yesterday, the van is in really good condition, even after looking at it on Wednesday I still cannot believe how clean it is when I was looking over it today.

She drove like a dream on the 80 mile journey home last night.
I have a lot of plans for the van and will post more pictures as work progresses.

Hi Luke

I bought the van for dual purposes, I am a Taxi driver in London and get a little fed up of driving the taxi everywhere, we do have another car bnut whenever I want to use it the wife has gone somewhere in it.

I have been using an old shogun for running around and going out to breakdowns if any of my fleet of taxis breaks down but finally decided that I needed something more praticle.

Being a bit of a Ford nut in the past I decided to look for a Transit and in particular an ex-RAC one due to its towing weight, it was either that or a 190 LWB SHR but after seeing Marks van my mind was instantly made up.

Everyone who has seen the van cannot believe the condition.

I am considering the following.

1. Stainless A Bar
2. Stainless Side Bars
3. Angel Eye Headlights
4. Clear Indicator Lenses
5. Side Marker Lights

Other things that I am considering is refitting a LightBar to the roof, I am unsure whether to fit a 48" 4 rotator lightbar or two 2 rotator magnetic ones on the rear of the van. Both have their Pros, the fixed one should bolt straight into the existing holes but the magnetic ones can be removed for when the van is in private use, what does everone else think.

I am considering a few other things, the van will be used for work and private so I want to fit the van out so that all the tools can be easily removed.

The van will also be used for towing a caravan (when I eventually buy one) so hence the need for dual use.

Now that is in good condition, ideal for what you require too!
I would go for the magnetic if you are thinking of caravaning with it as certain camp sites do not like work vans on as they look like gypsy vans!!!! :D

Just a point, when you inquire for a price on your A bar give Spot on a ring his name is Colin and he is usually quite resonable.(tell him Jerry gave you the number) if you want the number mail me.

All credit to Mark, he really did get this one to come up nice, nobody can believe how clean teh van is, and what a nice guy.
I would now say that if Mark has a van for sale and you are after one then don't bother looking elsewhere cos you wont find any better.
