If its a pinto it must be a tight squeeze.

Still think that roof is repairable!

hmmmmm.......contemplating

Postby Campertess » Sun May 07, 2006 10:24 pm

Well..i'm sat here looking at the pics of the mk1 with pinto engine.
N i'm pretty certain mines the same.
I havn't had chance to get out there with me camera today ..but will tomorro.
From memory however,i reckon mine is the same as shown in the pics.

Out of interest...please don't think i'm totally dumb,but is there such a thing as a 2 ltr v4?

I know Tess was a 1700 v4 when i first had her,i struggled up hills for 4/5 years before finally persuadeing my Husband (as was) to give her a heart n lung transplant.

Its definatly 2ltr,4 sp manual and goes better now up hills.

Truth beknown Tess is my baby but my ex husband maintained her so there are some things i do not know....but need to learn in order to keep her .
She needs a new exsaust so this engine debate will come in useful as i'll then know what i'm looking for..
Sorry guys,having a blonde day.

Nice shiney van! I hope you get the roof fixed. V4 engines have 2 banks of 2 pistons, hence V4 (look for where the plug leads go, all in one line and it's a pinto)
