Now, despite the last owner being a church, and having only got 61,000 genuine miles on her, it's been a hard life.......

not too bad from this angle and distance (note humongus Mk1 camper in the background, more about that later)

get a bit closer though, oh dear......

Now you have to really try hard to damage this pillar between the side door and the passenger door!

But believe it or not (not) I don't think that she's ever had a full respray. How do we keep this decal and get her looking good? I'm particularly impressed by the plywood step..........

Still what do you expect for the price of the remaining tax (£100)? I have a question for the forum. We originally were going to change the panels and 'backdate' her to a Mk2 phase1. Now having driven her home (and believe me the inside is much better than the outside!), I am not so sure. What do you guys think, retro or resto?

Eh? Don't get what you mean mate. Do you mean what did the £100 go on? If that's what you mean, that's what I paid for the van......

Here's an update, stage one of my top quality bodge job on the wing and the passenger step well under way. Between them they have now got half a tin of fibreglass filler in them, our body man will kill me when he has to dig it all out!!! But I want her to look a bit tidier for UK street vans and no time to get a proper job done, ie add more metal..

Oh, ha ha, very funny. You must be mad, tax (a oner on it's own) and test, good other than dodgy engine (fitted a HC grannie in the end). Must be worth £100 all day long................ :D

No sweat Niel, just me being oversensitive about the new girl!! I did head up the thread with the word WOOF after all. i know she's no pedigree, but I am working on it! And I know what you mean about the windows......

You can go off a person you know........

Now, stage one of my top quality bodge job is complete. Vast quantities of filler now reside in the wing and passenger step. Yesterday she passed her test, as expected. Nearly had an advert for her too, if I had read the email in time and wasn't outside washing/cleaning/filling/painting.

I have also silvered the windows but I am not happy with the finish on the sliding windows so might take the mirror film off. Windows, get over em!!!
