BUCKETHEADUK wrote:thanks very much, its actually a mondeo mk3 mod and i have 1 on my mondy but i figured that seein the 3 button mondeo key works on the transit that the jag 4 button fob wud aswell which has the added bonus of being a flip key.the unit costs about 25 on ebay and you get a blade cut from ford for £4,and the rest just programs in as normal and it looks like you have a jag lol,the 4th button is a panic feature,it works on the mondy but does nothin on the transit.has anybody else done it on the site?

has to be done in 2 stages and is just like programming a new ford remote key after all jaguar is ford. there are various guides on here but you do it in 2 stages,1 bein to program the remote side of the fob and secondly with 2 of your original keys you program the transponder to your vehicle and the ford transponder is already in the jag flip key,et voila.takes about 2 minutes.as ive already said a blank cut by ford for the key is £4

What a brilliant job for so little dosh. Shame it's not in Magnum Grey Metallic or my new favourite the Mk 7 Blue Ambition Metallic, but for a Whitey you have a super van.
Been thinking, can you swap Jaguar badges for Ford ovals and go the whole hog?
Also I've been wondering what's the difference between Mk 6 & 7 rear lights as at a quick glance they look the same and I would've thought that Ford would've reworked them during the facelift. Given current dsign trends I was expecting rear lights up to the roof. Maybe Captain Sensible ruled as I guess those sort of lights cost an Iranian ransom.

Just the lens colour of the indicators is white and it therefor has a yellow bulb. Mk6 still has a normal bulb and a yellow indicator lens.

yeah come on andy ive only been in the transit game a month and i know that lol  erm with regards the badge on the key i cant see how youd change them over or indeed where a ford badge might go,the only thing i was contemplating doing was removing the jaguar button and filing it down slightly so as to remove the jaguar head leaving it plain metal.i thougth about a total colour change be it grey, silver or even mondeo performance blue as seen on the st220s but at the end of the day its gona be a works van so needs to show up signage and even the best respray would have left white bits in areas, the engine bay etc, thanks for all ur kind words tho :O)

Actually i was thinking of putting Jaguar insignia on the Tranny itself rather than just on the key fob. there's a challenge for you. A Jaguar Transit 8)
