The reason why the grille is out of shape is because I had to push the other Transit onto the trailer with the good one I had no one to help me and no way to winch it on so there was nothing else for it!

£68 worth of scrap for that thing! It was the donor vehicle for the smiley front, dashboard, wing mirrors and rear doors for my good van and it only cost me £100!

Ok i admit im worse than both of you but needs must and i was transit-less at the time

and yes it had a Di in it, and i had to wait for the guy in the transit in front to go as it wouldnt reverse up the hill

ive done simalar in the past when my gearbox went in a lorry i got it towed back using one of the ldv spec lift...and yes i lifted the front of the truck with the spec lift and no the lorry wasnt loaded. and yes the steering was a bit lighter and the spec lift was still motoring at 45mph

ahhhhh good to know im not the only one well i was once told about my dad when he was in the garage he was on call one night and they had a 12 ton or similar lorry breakdown about 4 miles away anyway story goes he turned up in a v8 landy and slowly dragged him back to the yard anything is possible actually thinking about it im suprised the little dolly didnt fold up

A V8 Land Rover in low range 4wd will pull a 12 tonne truck no problem. I've seen a 90" Defender towing a 7.5 Tonner before no bother. Land Rovers are like Transit - excellent at what they do (you can't half tell I have a passion for both).

I had a 10 tonne cherry picker break down in the middle of a warehouse that was waiting to have racking put up so out came the Transit to the rescue. I had 14 tonne behind the Nissan Navara but that's a different story.

oh ye i know it will pull it but on the illegality side of things its quite illegal v8 landys eh shame they dont make em anymore
