Gets washed and polished every weekend by myself. Only wash when it's raining. Can take up to 7 hours to fully do when I am in the right mood. :D

I'm finding every 2 weeks too much now, the problem with panther black is it shows all the marks especially in a hard water area.

I hear some members are even wax oiling their vans, I did this to a mini in 1992 (never again).

Yes but its still too much work unless one likes doing these tasks, when my van starts to show signs of rust on body it will be someone else's
problem. Ford does seem to have done some of this is selected places under the chassis as I have noticed some candle like type wax
dripping. However directly under the engine and suspension some parts just appear to be painted with black paint and the edges are showing signs of rust after just 11 months from the build date, should i be wax oiling these ?.

If you intend on keeping your van longer than 5 years this will need to be done otherwise rust will creep in.
Transit Geoff says in order to prevent rust in the front wheel arches (first place to rust on transits) you need
to drill a hole from the part that is covered by the door and spray wax oil into the hollow part of the wheel arch and
then use a grommet to seal the hole.

LostPaul knows all about this type of rust.
