Rover.....got the work garage to work on it.....tis a massive place with all the equipment and tools you could ever need

Sundowner......it's currently a lowly stock 3.5l rover unit. Although once the body is sorted and the running gear has been overhauled, there will be a stage 3 tuned rover v8 going in........ not quite as manly as your new lump, but its a start

Mark....quality vans dude 8)

thats it proper tow engines  im really a 6 man

The little 3.5 is a great engine very flexable! did the uk get the 4.4??

and the only reason i went with the 460 is for the cheap reliable unstressed pulling power

plus i had to cut it to fit anything with more pull

if you ever decide to fit a clevo or a windsor you can buy my small block crossmember   nudge nudge

Can you imagine the postage to blighty?!!

The rover v8 came in many variants, once my rebuild is complete it will be a 3.9 (ish). Must admit it's quite funny working on these 'tiddly' v8s. While i was in Aus i used to run a drag hk ute with a 308 and a 454 camaro. So a tiddly rover 3.5 is a cute little thing
Had an hq kingswood with a 202 for a runabout.....not a bad lump for a 6

Andy, wouldnt mind one of those tvr 5.0l lumps. With fuel prices tho

Yes fuel prices are hiting me a bit runing the 2.9 :( ,5.0 would be just a bit to much  , there is always LPG but the cost of a conversion is out of the question at the moment.

Bet you a v8 in a you van will give about the same ecomomy as the v6, had a few of the 2.9's in the cars and the mpg was pretty poor.

As far as I know, they were only available in the P76 and Force 7, so only available in Australia!
