It wouldn't surprise me that it might be the same fuel running cost as the old V4, but with loads more grunt!!

This particular engine goes below 8l/100km with american steel to push, with transit as being lighter than most am cars, should go ok aswell.. Turbo is not good for mileage for sure..

Im glad you asked this transitandy, especially this week

Past weeks, fresh air intake mold for heater, rear brakes assembled, radiator brakets done, spackling front bumpers and plates to mid. Heeps of fiberglass work to come and fuel lines/filters to front.. Fiberglass, im first timer to work with and its taking time..

This weeks theme is fuel lines n fuel tank , finished last night 21:30.

Can't help but asking: how are you going to paint the chassis (especially the welding area) without overspraying all the new parts?. Are you going to dismantle all again, or spray over the lot (i hate that )

Sweet as mate, those parts, pretty much all areas where we have welded something into chassy, ive threated those with ovatrol.. So no need to paint, its actually some sort of paint. They use the same stuff in fin navy for ships..

Have you found the piece of paper which gives the ok for the engine swap? Got -66 lwb myself in Oulu and can't start the project without a document of mk1+essexv6.
