hope this helps other engine sizes where produced buy specalist companys you can still buy a new engine but they are now manufactured buy a contract company .

No we did not get the P76 all we got was the 3.5 SD1 ,P5B and of course the P6B ,B designation comes from Buick obvious refrence to the origin of the engine .

Right, now i'm out of hospital and getting back to normality i've decided that the blue Mk2 is too good mechanically etc to tear apart and stick a v8 in, so i finally gave in and purchased the speedshack one with v8 installed. Ive got my stage 3 tuned rover lump almost finished ready to drop in, just need to re-build the back axle, sort a few mechanical foibles, then get busy with the grinder/welder/spray gun........
Brought the v8 tranny home with a trailer attached to the back of the blue tranny.......to be honest i'm amazed it was man enough to pull it up some of the hills!!!.

haha it done it with ease pulled the van some 150km @ a speed of 110kph

the falcon weighs about 200kg more than the transit and have about 140kw

and though it may not look it its also about half a meter longer than the transit
