fred i had to fit them in mine :) as with the standard ones i thourt i was on side lights! :lol: :lol: what a difrence they make! :wink:

Agreed, the sealed beams were like driving under candle power! :lol: I recommend halogens to any Mk1 owner, the kit only cost £25.

Smart job Fred! Just a point with the halogens, don't forget to put a relay in or you could burn your switches out, (as I did in my dad's Bedford CF in the early 80s!!!) :lol:

Took her out on support to a 1973 consul on a still shoot. On the drive over no less than 6 people waved, smiled or gave us the thumbs up. I had forgotten how much driving a Mk1 made me smile! Aparently seeing her does that for other people too. :D
