thats the only thing with beavertails mate, build yaself a spec and if you have something heavy you can rear lift it , they can only weight you on the rear axle, and a 2t car is a hell lot less rear lifted

Yeah you're right, and you can have a short vehicle with a single cab.my next truck (In planning, need another recovery for busy periods)will be a speclift. My beavertail is a pain in my busy yard, front bumper has got loads of digs trying to squeeze out.
I'll be at the van sales soon looking for the next victim...

hmmn my advice

build a spec is hard to build a good looking spec, buy an older one with a good back and swap em over, but not a transit spec unless you can get a back off a newgen 190 as there too short

with a spec ministy can only weigh the front and rear axles, ie if you rear lift somerthing heavy you have minimal weight on the rear axle

not tom mention storage space, in mine i have dollys, go jacks, trolly jack, full tool box, lockout kits, diagnostic gear, mileage correction gear, cans of petrol diesel, 20 litres of water, spare hoses leads belts for the truck etc soooooo much better

not only that i find it a lot better to drag weight than have it sat on back, no messing about with ramps, i can load a car and be gone in a few minutes so bloody easy, easier parking as only normal transit length.

ive got a superb beavertail a lt35 x reg runs on lpg never use it was going to go into transport but not worth it money wise, money is in recover and for a recovery it has to be speclift

and just no note to all the thieving tosspots out there all electrical gear is removed at night, my gear costs more than the truck did im not that stupid
