Are they pattern bumper corners? If so how well do they fit?

Postby martynx » Tue Jun 05, 2012 5:23 pm

Got iveco daily series 2 suspension seat fitted... looks ugly but seems real comfy ! if anyone knows who makes good quality tailored seat covers let me know please ... need to mod the base as well , my bonse hits the roof lining over bumps at mo:)I used a k reg transit seat base for the sliding part, runner width is similar to mk6..

You can adjust the weight nob to calm the bounce

Nope - You dial in lower weight - more bounce. more weight and steering wheel touches seat :!: just got it in quick to gauge overall fit & required height ..i reckon the Iveco has much bigger / taller cab area as although my heads on the roof on the MK6, the seat height for leg reach feels good..

Will mod the base properly , needs cutting, as it is its just tacked to the mk4 base,...
Some exterior shots, will photo it properly once alls finished & its cleaned..

To do list - master list including expensive / dream stuff  :D

1 - Get Steering wheel off & welded / filled / repainted at mo its a neat smaller round wheel from a megane sport or something fitted with a bodge of 2 bosses cut & screwed together... gonna get slated for the renault logo but hey ho, !

2 - Get an MDF wood bulkhead made up with my subs built in.( by Gurj if I'm lucky ! )
3 - Fit the mondeo 4cylinder petrol tacho ( ordered) , jig about the jewel covers so low fuel lights up rather than traction control !

4 - Spray Black then waxoly the wheel arches & odd areas underneath where rust came straight back after last years undersealing adventure

5 - Fit passenger side window & get side & rear windows tinted to match front doors..Am thinking of cutting out own hole then getting standard tourneo side window fitted ( £100 all in from what i recall) , works out cheaper than an aftermarket window kit... anyone done this ?

6 - Insulate behind wood protection panels in rear & insulate..
7 - Get Tourneo roof lining, may be expensive
8 - Put old front shocks back on , not happy with new ( Sachs ) ones...
9 - Fit Air Con!
10 - Wire up new towbar
11 - Get new new n\s driveshaft to cure slight vibration under load..

Lovely looking van, nicer than the Mk7 in my book and that colour is really classy and suits the Mk6 well. Love the colour coding on the bumper too. Are you gonna do the rear bumper?
