transit backed under.
Image
looks a bit long. its 4.3 mts, will need to shorten it, and pull it on a bit more, demountable whinch.
Image

the gap that needs to close up about 350 more to go on.

personally i would remove the hoist and have the bed's right up to the cab. just too much overhang/long.

You are right. It is very long as it is. I am only making it to fit my race car, so it (the bed) will only be 3.7mts long. i have moved it closer to the crane now and am fitting 3 ft bolt on (ford made) chassis extensions to the rear of the chassis, shipping them from the UK soon. Was also looking at making it hydraulic demount type bed.

back under frame for now will have to shorten it, to make it legal, rear overhang can not be more than 60% of wheelbase.

will probably have a deck length of 3.4 to 3.7 mts. plenty of room for this.

I decided to put the tray back on, as at the moment i am shortly to be out of work for a bit, and would get more use out of the tray, however i have put on the demountable winch, and second battery system (still to be wired in) i intend moving the tray as far forward as possible and making it into a hydraulic tipper as well, as lifting it loaded with the crane is just not safe.
