This should work 1st time for everyone to upload pics.this is my transit it used to be a 2ltr petrol with a tipping body,its now got a 2.5DI with a turbo and a mt75 gearbox the gearbox is the petrol one with the close ratio box,engine was easy swap done it in 2 days over a weekend and that includes all the wiring and pipes,the body i am taking off at the moment as the tipping chassis has a few cracks and is rotten and worn out.so am going to fit the body onto chassis minus the tipping gear,



got the bullbar today off e bay it was a bargain got the bar at 1.30pm and was home by 3pm bar was on van by 3.30pm just got to paint the bar as its a bit scruffy but it fits o.k.just got to do rest to van.

NICE ONE MATE , YOU CERTAINLY GOT TO GRIPS WITH THAT ENGINE AND GEARBOX SWAP , WOULD OF TAKEN ME A WEEK

HAS IT MADE A DIFFERENCE NOW YOU HAVE A 2.5 TURBO IN THERE COMBINED WITH THE PETROL GEARBOX ??

THAT NUDGE BAR LOOKS NICE , IS IT CHROME ??

the bar is painted silver I am deciding to paint it black or repaint it silver,looking at the pic it looks good silver,only got it today and fitted today.the engine came from a f reg swb van but it had the type 9 gearbox and I really wanted the mt75 box as that was what was in my pick up,gearbox van only done 80,000 miles so box is nice and quite.I did have a non turbo in the pick up when i first swap but i blew it up that was a 94 engine so had to buy a secondhand one,goes like a rocket,and i have opened the pump up a bit.

STILL IN GOOD NICK THOUGHT MATE , IT DOES LOOK GOOD IN SILVER , BUT FOR LONG TERM BLACK MIGHT BE THE BETTER COLOUR AS IT WONT SHOW THE STONE CHIPS ETC....?

yes i suppose so.I was going to shot blast the bar and give it a grey primer/undercoat and then spray it silver or I was going to paint a dark undercoat and paint it gloss black.van is going to be similar blue it is now as I like that color.

THAT SOUNDS COOL , THE SHINEY BLACK GLOSS FINISH WILL GO NICE WITH THE BLUE , LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING SOME PICS MATE

I would go for black on the bullbar too, how is the transit chassis?

Do you mean is the chassis rusty or is it same color as body?well the chassis is same color as body with a bit of surface rust here and there.about what you will expect on a G reg tipper.the van was owned by a builder before me,there is cement on the steps but have got replacements from a van i have broken up.
