Its a 74 ,
She is on her way back in two weeks, when I leave this Island for TT, she is all tucked up in her Garage in Portugal but have decided to bring her to blighty then the island, being 50th anniversary this year I am going to try to take her to a few events if possible.
Thanks for the comments, she's not perfect but I am trying, detail jobs next like switches, stereo, central locking, insulation electric fuel pump and ignition the list seems to go on and on, oh and a full wax oil everywhere I can get it, but hopefully I will take her back to Portugal soon.but may have to remortgage the house to pay for the petrol she is thirsty for a 1.7.The engine has just over 50k in kilometres all original 2 owner from new it even has the original vinyl seat covers albeit with a repair patch on drivers seat I can't bring myself to rip out the seats and recover

Essex
Hopefully soon upgrade to 2.0l high compression soon with 4 speed overdrive and maybe a few electronic goodies ,fuel pump, ignition and fan. would love fuel injection on her so I can map it for economy and few more horses in the stable wouldn't hurt.well it will hurt my wallet. but she does sound lovely when the butterfly valves are open on those pipes 8)

Cheers, not even fully rebuilt as milage so low but will probably blow up soon,I have to compromise with her if I ever want to take her back to sunny portugal they apparently do not understand engine swaps at the mot station, they want engineers reports on the chassis to see if it can handle more power  and brake reports which is sort of understandable but I thought that is what the brake test is for in the mot station.but they just don't get it :? .which all in all means it has to look the same on the outside of the engine as made by ford.I am sure there is someway round it, but I hardly understand a word, which doesn't help.
So she has to keep the essex in otherwise a cossie was getting stuffed in, as that was the dream van I had been thinking about for years .Shame really. but not as it does keep an original the way mr ford intended.Slow thirsty and unreliable
