I was looking at some mk5 ex ambulances, with all the lights and strecher still in the back. nice looking beasts. Turbo'd too. Would have to keep the reflective stickers on the side though

Hi. I had a semi hi top Trannie before which we used for camping, but it wasn't high enough to stand upright in. So we got Nina. I've made three berths side by side so my 11 year old son can come with me and the missus. I've put cupboards with sliding doors under the two "settees" I made in the back. One holds the sleeping bags etc, and the other holds the awning, camping seats etc. I've built a unit to house the fridge with a cupboard beside it for the out door electric leads. I built in a six socket spur with a RCD for the mains. I've put roller blinds in. I've built the microwave in and food storage to the right hand side at the rear. I've made a table which goes down to make the third bed and I've put a worktop in on the rear left. There is a night heater - which doesn't seem to work at the mo but that can wait. Currently I am building storage for crockery and cutlery, and our little two ring burner/ grill. I've put restrainers in for gas bottles too. I reckon there is still about a years work to do. We went away on Friday but got rained off and had to come home on Sunday. Slept ok despite the noisy clock and son poking me in the ribs in the middle of the night. Could post some more pics later. night heater - does it work off petrol or diesel - the van is diesel right mine is petrol and the night heater works of a take off in the petrol tank, does yours have a seperate tank for petrol or does it work of diesel

The night heater is diesel. Somebody has unplugged the main electrics. When I plug it in it sounds like I can hear a relay cut in then nothing. Trouble is, I don't know what to expect. Does the fan start first and the heat follow? I don't know. I did get a fault finding Cd from Ebershuer? Spelling's not right. JohnG

john you should here a relay ticking then the fan should start up then heat will follow great bit of kit when working but i would sujest you find a dealer who deals with them they will tell you what the problem is!

Or get a auto electrician to have a look and save you the drama
