This is my van,My Mk1,it was first reg in the uk in 1968 as FGL451F, in 07-03-1977 it came to malta by a second hand dealer and had an upgraded 20 V4 engine instead of its 17 V4. Some months after my dad bought it to replace our morris 1000 van, till then its been in my hands since. Although its white, it left the factory in grey primer and was painted black by its first owner or company, whom i wish to know what was its working life in UK.
Here below is our blue double wheel 1984 model.

Below is our 2000 model, replacing the Mk1 as i am starting to restor

Hi its really good it still has its original petrol engine. i had it restored
last year, all i v changed were the two front wings, the back triangulal
bottom corners, the back number plate panel and the wheel arches as it had black rubber ones, which don't look good although there more practical. A good find was the original ford roof rack which had been on a
roof for more than 20 years. I got this from a very good friend of mine, who's been breaking Mk1 & Mk2s all his life. He's got loads of Mk1 deisel front bonnets and grills, doors lights anything. Don't go far with your heads remember these parts were used and are now 40yrs old. But to me
there better than noting. Its a place were we transit nuts feel welcome even pop up and say hello. One day i ll send pictures of his yard.

If there are Mk1 and mk2 parts available there, seems a like a good idea for a Ford Transit Forum holiday!
