ambulance camping

Postby chrisvmax » Fri Sep 14, 2007 12:51 pm

went camping a couple of weeks ago to a lovely little campsite in the Brecon Beacons. A proper 'cook yer spuds on the fire' camping weekend.
Weather was great too. Didn't take loads of pictures but here are a few

Looks a cracking spot doesn't it?! We spend a lot of weekends in fields and what have you when we're away at race meetings with the mower - but somewhere like that would suit me down to the ground for a weekend off!

 Where do people find these spots, are they listed on wbesites? on the rare occasion I camp out anywhere I always end up in a site with 30 other vans, somehwere I can`t have a fire or in a layby next to a busy "A" road

Would be interested in knowing where this place is ?..or any other places / remote with a fire pit..looks ideal for the kids...if anyone can help?
i will start off with a site 'no fires though'..they used too years ago..but now dont..this one is good if you are visiting somerset / cheddar gorge etc..its called lillypool farm, shipham hill..its between axbridge and cheddar..nice basic site..cafe at the bottom of the field with shop and kids playground...tel no..01934743994..
