My New Mk 1 Camper :)

Bought this early this week hope you lads like it.
I will be making it into a hightop camper van finished in white Its curently at Steady72's place as he will be fitting me a 2.5 Di

how are you fitting the Di - setting it back or converting to bull nose

The van seems nice and solid the pop up roof as seen better days but that wont be a issue as I plan to make it into a Hightop

I would like a set of doors on the back rather then the one back door.

Once its up on the road ill pull the back out and make all new cubards ect

The cab is in very good condition just needs some attension to the drivers seat. The floor is nice and solid with very little surface rust The rubber floor mat is like new

The Di will be set back as I am not keen on the bull noses

Ill let you know how it comes along

cos its the most valuble bit of the van have fun setting the di back

keep the colour, olympic blue correct? lovely colour - looked best on a RS2000 though

to change a back door to opening doors you must be off your trolly ! you will get wet when it rains
oh and as niel says good luck moveing the di back

I like the look of the doors much better then I do the up and over door. Getting wet is just a small side effect.
Its not me who will be moving it back its Steady72.

Don't I get all the good jobs!!
It can only go as far back as the gear stick will allow.
Anyone have any idea how far that would be?
Or will wardy have to have an operation on his elbow?

you should be ok stick wise you only need to go back 5-6" ish

i'll be interested in watching this, as if i do this conversion again i'll do it the same way

if you look on here at snakemasters mk1 camper he fitted a Di with flat front - there should be some usefull pics/info somewhere
