Paultimberframer's Countys

Postby fastmower » Tue Jan 01, 2008 8:07 pm

Here are some pics of paultimberframers two County Transits, and here's what he had to say about them! I'd also recommend having a look at Paul's website for some fantastic traditional workmanship 8) 8)

Mine did have a water heater now removed but no winch. It came pretty much direct from western power in south Wales. Spent a fortune on it and was off the road last xmas for a month trying to get parts! In the end I had to speak to Mr Allen of MJ Allen to get things rolling and even spoke to Mr May who made up some drive shaft nuts for me. All a nightmare but sorted in the end and actually it never actually broke down. Its had new wheel bearings, drive shafts, lower ball joints, shocks, springs, new u.j`s on props, new front exhaust made up by my mechanic.new discs, water pump, clutch, rear axle rebuilt, center prop bearing as well as normal servicing in the 4 years I`ve had it.
It`s part converted to a camper as I use to stay in when on site when raising my oak frames.
http://www.oakframeworks.com M.o.t in a couple of weeks and hopefully not much needed!!!
The pick up is the older type which I have spares for inc axles and transfer box .
cheers always willing to chat and help with any poss advice. Cheers Paul
