Our vans

Postby Andrew-v4 » Mon Mar 20, 2006 4:41 pm

I was bored so i thought i'd post these. Dads had a couple of transits,
first being a mk2 then this he got in 1990. Its got 51000 miles but has'nt
been used in about 3 years. Shame, used to be a nice van.

People are gonna hate me for saying this, but where's the Mk2? The white one is a Mk3, and the yellow one is erm, later, commonly called a smiley.
Or am I missing/misunderstanding something?

Both look in really good nick by the way.

I would say the MK3 is the one he got in 1990 Fred.

the yellow one looks like Andrew's own van, now having a few mods here and there..

Maybe the Mk2 bit is a typo.

Fred the mk2 is long gone im afraid, it was rotten when he got rid of it in 1990, think it was a Breg.
Eventally Mark i'll put the chromes on my van when dads not looking but while the weathers bad i'll stick with mine as all the salt might corod the chrome.

Those chromes might be a bit to wide for the back of your van Andrew, i'm sure they'll fit but they will stick out a bit and you might not be able to open you side door.

Mike they look pucker on the rear as they just sit flush with the arch, its the front which stick out a little. When weather permits its got some badges and a set of custom strips to go on + a little bit of body work :(
And get rid of those crappy locks, one on the back an side :x

dunno about the wheels i'd be inclined to take the whole van  why isnt he using it??

im gonna have a go at fitting those wheels (mine were chrome before being painted white) to the back of my mk4 - i think the slider or the runner could easly be modified to push the door out further - it only needs a bit!!! :D on mine the door opens but rubs on the wheel!! :D
