OK here goes..... this is the one I'm been given soon
H reg Transit 190 twin wheel 2ltr petrol. In need of lost of tlc.

The window got knocked out! The bits are still intact, but more rust than metal....could be interesting... :roll:

Any tips on repairing window surrounds and replacing the windows greatly apreciated!

Couple more pics.
This was the last one that went a couple of years ago.
Taken just after I resprayed him. I think he was a 160, he was the next weight down from a 3500 but on single wheels, apparently a beefed up lwb?
Engine was 2,5Di, note the 6 stud wheels.

have you thought about panneling the back 2 windows out to make it a crewcab van :?:

Did think, but I'd prefer to keep the windows, for some strange reason!

- from the outside!! She had new rear arches about 3 years ago, done by one of the school's maintanance guys who was an expert welder and sprayer, poor guy died from bowel cancer about 18months ago - very sad.

The window surround looks a bit grim inside, i've felt round the where the carpet meets the edge and it feels like the inner skin has rusted away.

I guess the coach builders must have been from down Somerset way, the school had it from new and we're up in Cheshire.
