but me thinks once my motor has been tarted up . . I'll put my banner directly above the windshield. . . no problem then with the MOT man taking umbridge with the banner entering the wiper sweep area

i altered my wiper blade (drivers) so it only sweeps 20mm onto the banner - so its fully legal , but it doesnt cause an obstruction at all - i dont think my mot man would be bothered by it anyway

luke i didnt alter anything and my wiper only hits by 10mm plus the banner finishes level with the top tint so i can see any probs with mot's

mine must have had large wipers fitted or summat

Mine is the same as you luke wiper ends about half way up the banner. Spoke to my MOT man and he said it wouldnt fail

I put the banner on late on today as I had taken the transit for MOT this morning. I would have put it on earlier but just didnt have the time. The transit flew through its test and to be honest I think if it had of been on when it was tested it wouldnt have failed. I think the tester is just being twat if they are gonna fail your car for something like that unless of course its rediculously big and takes up like half the windscreen.

if it did fail it would be a problem for all these boy racers that just have a white strip on their slammed saxos and thinking they look cool I had one like that in his 1.1l 106 get upset when i come past him in the van

yes took a while and few small bubbles but it looks good now no problems really at all cheers mate just got to get round to putting one on my dads

Loads and loads of watery washing-up liquid solution will give you plenty of time to mess about and get it looking right....

None of that with mine mate. Wiped the windscreen along the top to make sure it was free from dirt then got my brother Craig to come along to sit on the roof hold it in place, and as Guy88 had very kindly marked the centre line I then lined the "centre line" with the interior mirror, my brother Craig started peeling the backing away as I patted it done with a cloth to get all the air bubbles out. Then using a stanley knife cut the excess off, job done! Took about 15mins in total.

Get it right first time or stretch the banner . . have had experience with several posters on different vans . . . the wasing-up liquid solution gives you time to position without actually sticking anything down until your ready with the squeegee to stick the poster in its final position . . .
